Time Values
In musical notation there are five main types of notes that have different timings of playing durationWhole Note or Semi Breve 4 Counts |
Dotted Half Note or Dotted Minim 3 Counts |
Half Note or Minim 2 Counts |
Quarter Note or Crotchet 1 Count |
Eight Note or Quaver 1/2 Count |
Music is made up with sound and gap or hold the resonance. Notes will tell you when to play and the rests will tell you when not to play.

Treble Clef
This symbol called Treble Clef |
This symbol called treble clef. This symbol is given in the beginning of the notation.
It means which music is written after this symbol that can be played in all treble instrument,
not only in guitar. Treble instrument means guitar, violin, harmonica, saxophone, sitar, sarod, etc.
In piano and keyboard treble clef part played in right hand part after the middle C note
Time Signature
Top Number Indicate – How many beats in a each bar, and
Bottom Number Indicate – What kind of note gets the beats.
Barlines
According to the time values barlines is given in the notation.
Barlines are given to play the music in strict rhythm, without
barlines there will be no strict rhythm that is called adlibitum
or adlib.

Practice is the only way to improve your progress, there is no shortcut.
Practice 30 minutes to 1 hour daily would be great. Consistent daily practice give
you better result quickly.
